Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall daily management of operational duties within the delivery station.
- Deputize for the Operations Manager when required and help maintain continuity of site operations.
- Prioritize workplace safety and continually improve safety standards across delivery station activities.
- Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure shipments are processed and delivered according to operational KPIs.
- Monitor coordinator and associate performance and provide coaching, guidance, and corrective support when needed.
- Partner with support departments to improve logistics processes, operational workflows, and delivery station performance.
- Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations, review performance, and raise quality standards.
- Brief drivers and associates on workload, priorities, route requirements, safety expectations, and daily operational targets.
- Monitor the workload of drivers and associates to ensure balanced execution and timely delivery support.
- Ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately, fully, and within required timelines.
- Track daily workflows and site metrics to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending, and reporting site performance on a regular basis.
- Support candidate interviews for associate roles and help identify suitable talent for delivery station operations.
- Maintain attention to detail across reporting, documentation, attendance, workload planning, and task follow‑up.
- Escalate operational issues, service risks, staffing concerns, or performance blockers to management when required.
- Contribute to a culture of ownership, safety, discipline, teamwork, and customer‑focused delivery execution.
Ideal Profile
- Experience in logistics operations, delivery station operations, last‑mile delivery, warehouse supervision, transportation coordination, or shift management.
- Previous experience supervising logistics assistants, coordinators, delivery associates, drivers, or frontline operations teams.
- Strong understanding of safety standards, delivery KPIs, workflow monitoring, driver coordination, and operational reporting.
- Ability to coach team members, monitor performance, and support improvement in a fair and practical way.
