Role Summary

The L3 Network and Security Support Engineer delivers expert-level technical support for routing, switching, firewall, and security infrastructure at customer premises. The role works closely with customer IT teams, OEM vendors, and internal escalation units to resolve critical incidents, maintain system performance, and ensure secure operations in line with defined SLAs and security policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for enterprise network and security infrastructure at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents related to routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and security appliances
• Perform advanced root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions
• Configure, optimize, and maintain network and security devices following industry best practices
• Support change management activities including upgrades, patches, migrations, and configuration changes
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the overall network environment
• Work closely with customer IT teams, OEM vendors, and internal escalation teams
• Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, SOPs, incident reports, and solution records
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, compliance requirements, and customer security policies

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise OEM platforms including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, Cloudflare, and Gigamon
• Working knowledge or exposure to security tools such as Trend Micro, Proofpoint, Netskope, OPSWAT, Thales, ExtraHop, Open Gear, and Microsemi
• Solid expertise across routing and switching, firewall administration, load balancing, network monitoring, and traffic analysis
• Knowledge of email and web security solutions and Zero Trust or secure access concepts

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum six years of hands-on experience in network and security support roles within enterprise environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across multi-vendor infrastructures
• OEM certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar vendors are highly desirable
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies is a strong advantage
• Exposure to cloud security or hybrid network environments is an added benefit
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for customer-facing roles
