Job summary

Qualifications

The Senior Network & Firewall Engineer delivers comprehensive architectural oversight, hands‑on deployment, and advanced operational troubleshooting across complex enterprise networks and security boundaries. You will manage mission-critical routing, switching, and firewall estates spanning multi-vendor platforms including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Huawei. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass architecting secure network segmentations, executing zero-downtime data center and campus migrations, fine-tuning Layer 3 dynamic routing protocols, and establishing robust site-to-site and client VPN frameworks.

In this mission-critical L3 capacity, you will harden enterprise security postures by authoring and maintaining next-generation firewall policies, implementing intrusion prevention architectures, and conducting deep-dive packet-level diagnostics during network anomalies. The role demands an experienced CCIE-certified professional capable of bridging high-level design specifications with low-level implementation details, leading vendor coordination, and enforcing rigorous configuration governance. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural design, deployment, configuration, and migration of multi-vendor enterprise network and security infrastructures across Dubai, UAE.
• Provide Level-3 (L3) engineering support and deep-dive technical escalation resolution for mission-critical routing, switching, and firewall outages.
• Configure, harden, and manage next‑generation firewalls across multi-vendor estates, specifically Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco security appliances.
• Direct large-scale enterprise network migration projects, cutovers, and infrastructure modernization initiatives with zero service disruption.
• Administer and optimize advanced dynamic routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) architectures.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise campus and data center switching topologies utilizing Cisco Catalyst/Nexus and Huawei enterprise platforms.
• Establish and maintain secure IPSec site-to-site VPN tunnels, SSL VPN remote access solutions, and zero‑trust network segmentation policies.
• Conduct comprehensive packet capture analyses, root‑cause investigations (RCA), and network performance optimization using packet inspection tools.
• Maintain detailed network architecture blueprints, High‑Level Designs (HLD), Low‑Level Designs (LLD), standard operating procedures, and change management logs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, security operations centers, and technology vendor engineering teams to uphold stringent SLA benchmarks.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 8 to 10+ years of hands‑on professional engineering experience in enterprise network engineering and network security operations.
• Active Cisco CCIE Enterprise (Enterprise Infrastructure / Routing & Switching) certification (Mandatory requirement).
• Proven track record in configuring and troubleshooting multi‑vendor environments spanning Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Huawei.
• In‑depth technical proficiency with dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLAN segmentation, STP, VXLAN, and high‑availability topologies.
