Job summary

Accorhotel in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Learning & Development Manager to shape and deliver the organization's training strategy. You will partner with department heads to identify development needs and coordinate programs, ensuring alignment with service standards and UAE regulations.

You will drive learning initiatives, evaluate outcomes, and support employee engagement, performance management and leadership development across the hotel group.

Qualifications

• 35+ years in Learning & Development, HR, Talent Development or People Operations with supervisory/coordination experience.
• Proven design, coordination and implementation of training programs.
• Strong knowledge of learning needs analysis, instructional methods and evaluation.
• Experience with performance management, succession planning and engagement initiatives.
• Knowledge of training compliance and UAE labour regulations; Forbes compliance preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with employees, managers and senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor-level degree in HR/Business/Education or related field.
• Professional L&D or HR certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Learning & Development Manager in developing and implementing the annual training plan.
• Conduct training needs assessments with department heads and line managers.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs, workshops, inductions and development initiatives.
• Monitor training attendance, completion, effectiveness and employee feedback.
• Develop individual development plans and career development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate training records and prepare L&D reports and dashboards.
• Coordinate mandatory training programs and ensure completion within required timelines.
• Support compliance with training standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist with performance management, talent development and succession planning.
• Support coaching, mentoring and leadership development programs.
• Promote employee engagement initiatives and learning opportunities.
• Build relationships with department heads and external training providers.
