Job summary

TALENTMATE is seeking an entry-level Kitchen Steward in Abu Dhabi. You will clean and sanitise all kitchen areas, wash and store dishes, and operate cleaning equipment safely in a fast-paced food & beverage environment.

Responsibilities include following food safety procedures, reporting hazards, and assisting chefs and staff as needed. Weekend shifts and early mornings are expected in line with business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as kitchen steward or similar is desirable.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe use of cleaning products.
• Ability to follow schedules and health and safety requirements accurately.
• Good attention to detail in cleaning and checking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, walls, sinks, drains, and equipment.
• Wash, rinse, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen items.
• Operate dishwashers, glasswashers, and other kitchen cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect cleaned items for food residue, damage, or breakage, and report as appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness in waste storage, dishwashing, and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, infection prevention, and cross-contamination prevention procedures at all times.
• Receive, move, and store deliveries or kitchen supplies as required.
