Job summary

Yosh in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to maintain clean, safe kitchen areas and support food preparation and service. You will follow hygiene standards, operate dishwashing equipment, and report issues promptly.

The role requires good attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a busy kitchen environment. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a kitchen steward or cleaner is desirable
• Understanding of kitchen cleaning practices and food hygiene
• Ability to follow instructions, schedules and safety procedures
• Good attention to detail when cleaning and checking equipment
• Organise tasks, manage time and work at pace in a busy kitchen environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
• Good communication and cooperative approach in the kitchen

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, surfaces, floors, sinks, drains and equipment
• Wash, rinse, dry and store crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils
• Operate dishwashers and other cleaning equipment safely
• Inspect items for residue or damage and rewash or report
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of kitchen supplies
• Manage waste, bin liners, and waste disposal per procedures
• Report faults, hazards, and incidents promptly to management
• Work with chefs and kitchen staff to support smooth operations
• Follow health, safety, fire safety and manual handling procedures
• Perform other kitchen and cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor
