Job summary

Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is seeking a culinary professional to prepare special meals, regulate oven temperatures, and ensure quality and presentation in daily service. You will monitor inventories, assist with staff training, and uphold safety and security policies while coaching team members.

We value candidates with technical, trade, or vocational training and at least 3 years of kitchen experience; no supervisory background is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement and garnish; maintain logs.
• Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and inform chefs of specials.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching staff.
