Job summary

Royse Furniture in Dubai seeks a senior leader to head the technical department for joinery and furniture projects. You will review drawings, BOQs, and design requirements, approve shop and production drawings, and coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, production, projects, and site teams.

You will provide technical solutions for complex joinery, oversee materials and finishes, ensure manufacturing feasibility, train staff, and participate in client meetings to ensure on-time project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a technical discipline (civil/mechanical/architecture/interior design).
• Minimum 12–15 years of relevant joinery/furniture experience.
• Strong leadership and technical detailing capabilities, with AutoCAD proficiency.

Job description

Lead and manage the technical department for joinery and furniture projects Review project drawings specifications BOQs and design requirements Oversee the preparation and approval of shop drawings production drawings cutting lists and detailed joinery drawings Ensure drawings are technically accurate and suitable for manufacturing and installation Coordinate with Design Estimation Procurement Production Projects and Site teams Provide technical solutions for complex joinery and furniture requirements Review materials hardware finishes construction methods and joinery details Ensure proper coordination between design intent and manufacturing feasibility Support production teams with technical clarification and problem-solving Review and approve technical submissions before releasing them for production Coordinate with CNC programming teams regarding cutting machining and production requirements Identify potential technical issues before production and recommend practical solutions Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize production wastage Develop and maintain technical standards specifications and joinery details Support the Projects team during installation by resolving technical and site-related issues Review site measurements and ensure they are accurately reflected in production drawings Ensure compliance with project specifications quality standards and approved materials Train and guide technical team members and junior engineers draftsmen Establish standard technical procedures and improve workflow between technical and production departments Participate in project meetings with clients consultants designers and internal departments when required Provide technical support during project handover and close-out

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field . Minimum 1215 years of relevant experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out.
• Strong experience in joinery manufacturing and technical detailing is mandatory.
• Experience in a technical leadership/head-of-department role is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of woodwork, furniture construction, joinery materials, hardware, and finishing.
• Experience with AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Joinery manufacturing and production processes is preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing is preferred.
