Job summary

al-majid is seeking a Joinery Draughtsman in Dubai to prepare detailed shop, production, and installation drawings for bespoke interior fit-out projects. You will review architecture and interior design drawings to produce accurate manufacturing drawings and coordinate with designers, project managers, and site engineers.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4–7 years of joinery drafting experience, with UAE/GCC experience preferred.

• Minimum 4-7 years of experience as a Joinery Draughtsman in interior fit-out or joinery manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and installation drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, production teams, and site engineers.
• Review drawings against client specs and approved material standards.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware schedules.
• Coordinate with CNC programming and factory production teams as needed.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and resolve installation issues.
• Maintain drawing registers and document all revisions.

Job description

Prepare detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and installation drawings for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects. Develop detailed drawings for custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, reception counters, wall paneling, doors, partitions, and other joinery items. Review architectural and interior design drawings to produce accurate manufacturing drawings. Prepare detailed sections, elevations, plans, and fabrication details. Coordinate with designers, project managers, production teams, and site engineers to resolve technical issues. Review project specifications and ensure drawings comply with client requirements and approved material specifications. Coordinate with procurement teams regarding hardware, accessories, and material requirements. Revise drawings based on consultant comments, design changes, and site conditions. Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware schedules for production. Coordinate with CNC programming and factory production teams when required. Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and resolve installation issues. Maintain drawing registers and ensure all revisions are properly documented. Support project handover by preparing as-built drawings where required.
