Client of AW Connect in the UAE seeks an experienced Joinery Carpentry Manager to lead the workshop and oversee installation across projects. You will manage drawings review, material procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and on-site finishing, ensuring timely delivery and high workmanship standards.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years in joinery/carpentry, strong leadership, and a proven track record managing a commercial workshop and installation teams in the UAE.
We are looking for an experienced Joinery Carpentry Manager to take overall responsibility for joinery production workshop operations and installation across the company s projects in the UAE The role requires someone with strong technical and operational knowledge of custom joinery and carpentry who can manage the complete process from approved drawings and material procurement through manufacturing quality control delivery and site installation The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the workshop operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship programme and quality across all projects
Bachelor's degree, diploma or technical qualification in Joinery, Carpentry, Woodworking, Construction or a related discipline preferred. 8+ years of relevant joinery/carpentry experience, including significant UAE experience. Proven experience managing a commercial joinery workshop and installation teams. Strong technical understanding of custom joinery, bespoke furniture and interior woodwork. Experience reading and interpreting shop drawings, production drawings and technical specifications. Strong understanding of materials, hardware, finishes, veneers, laminates and joinery construction methods. Experience managing production schedules, manpower and workshop capacity. Strong knowledge of quality-control processes for joinery manufacturing and installation. Experience coordinating workshop production with active fit-out projects and site installation programmes. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Good understanding of project deadlines, cost control and material wastage. Ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues quickly. Strong communication and coordination skills. UAE experience is essential. Preferred Background Candidates from established UAE joinery, interior fit-out, bespoke furniture or architectural woodworking companies are preferred. Experience delivering joinery for high-end residential, hospitality, retail, F&B, offices, hotels, luxury interiors or large commercial projects would be particularly relevant. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely understands joinery from the workshop floor through to final installation. They should be comfortable managing production teams, reviewing drawings, dealing with materials and technical issues, controlling quality and coordinating closely with project teams. This is not simply a workshop-supervision role the person needs to take ownership of the entire joinery production and installation operation and ensure what leaves the workshop is delivered correctly on site.
