Job summary

GSSTech Group in Abu Dhabi seeks an IT Support professional to assist in installing, configuring and monitoring IT applications, systems and databases within a federal/government banking environment. Immediate joiner is required for a 6-month contract with renewal based on project needs.

The role entails daily system monitoring, backups, Level-1 support across teams, and incident documentation, with exposure to Windows/Linux/AIX platforms and virtualization concepts under a regulated UAE setting.

Qualifications

Fluent Arabic speaker (written and spoken).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Computer Engineering.
0–2 years’ experience in a similar Data Centre/IT Support role.
Prior hands-on experience with a federal or government entity/client in the UAE (banks, government departments, LFIs, or similar regulated bodies).
Available to join immediately (within 1 week).
Contract is 6 months, renewable/extendable based on project need.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily system health: hardware, server resources, uptime, backups, DR replication.
Perform daily backup operations and verify data integrity; create recovery media.
Provide Level-1 IT support across teams and entities; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Monitor performance and capacity of IT systems, applications, and datacenter components.
Conduct core banking end-of-day activities and relevant reports.
Respond to IT, datacenter, and DB alerts and hardware malfunctions; document incidents.
