Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) seeks a senior Solution Architect to lead end-to-end design of enterprise-grade apps and API-first platforms. You will evaluate scalable stacks, ensure performance and security, and design data warehouses and pipelines to support analytics.

You will collaborate with governance and security teams, mentor junior architects, and drive digital transformation while upholding enterprise architecture standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in solution architecture in large-scale security and enterprise infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise-grade applications (web, mobile, API-first).
• Evaluate scalable tech stacks aligned with business goals (microservices, containers, serverless).
• Ensure performance, scalability and observability with high-availability patterns and API integration standards.
• Design data solutions (data warehouses/pipelines) aligned with data strategy and BI tools.
• Collaborate with governance, security and QA to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Provide architectural guidance for critical IT projects per EA frameworks.
• Drive digital transformation to modernize processes and deliver business value.
• Enforce architecture principles for scalable, compliant solutions.
• Identify architectural risks and mitigate to ensure security and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise-grade applications (web, mobile, Application Programming Interface(API)-first platforms) to ensure that modularity, reusability and security are in line with enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Contribute to the evaluation and selection of scalable technology stacks aligned with business goals, leveraging modern paradigms like microservices, containers and serverless components.
• Ensure application performance, scalability and observability by implementing high availability strategies and designing API integration patterns that align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Design and implement data solutions, including data warehouses, pipelines, to support analytics by ensuring alignment with the broader data strategy and integration with BI tools, while adhering to enterprise data governance policies.
• Collaborate with IT governance, security and quality teams to ensure compliance with security standards, quality assurance across the application and data platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance for critical IT projects, ensuring compliance with approved enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices
• Drive digital transformation by delivering innovative technology solutions to enhance efficiency, modernize processes, and create measurable business value.
• Enforce design and architecture principles to ensure technology solutions are developed within a consistent, scalable, and compliant enterprise architecture framework.
• Identify potential architectural risks in solution designs and implement mitigation strategies to ensure system integrity, security and resilience.

Qualifications

Education Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• TOGAF certification preferred

Work Experience

• Bottom of Form

Minimum experience of 7 years with proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect in large-scale security and enterprise infrastructure implementation projects in Food and Beverages manufacturing, FMCG companies. Minium 7-8 years of Oracle Fusion and SAP HANA as ERP backend experience.

• Hands-on knowledge of enterprise application frameworks (.NET Core, Java Spring, Node.js)
• Experience with cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for compute, storage, and databases
• Experience with event streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in data platform tools: Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.
• Experience in designing APIs, microservices, and modern integration patterns
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code
• Background in Agile/SAFE methodologies and digital transformation programs
• Experience in data security, privacy frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Present architecture to architecture review boards (ARBs), exec stakeholders, and delivery teams
• Mentor developers, solution designers, and junior architects on modern application/data stack
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, roadmaps, and reference models

• Excellent presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex architectural solutions, technical concepts, and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
