Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering is looking for a skilled maintenance technician to lead day-to-day repair and maintenance activities under the supervision of the shift supervisor. You will guide junior technicians and ensure timely completion of all planned and unplanned work.

The role requires reading drawings and manuals, ensuring safe handling of tools and PPE, and maintaining logs. You will contribute to safety, quality policies and ISO standards while supporting the installation of new equipment

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Control or Industrial Engineering from a recognized college.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in hospitality, catering, facilities or project management.
• Strong safety knowledge and adherence to PPE usage.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance under supervision.
• Coordinate with juniors to complete tasks on time.
• Inspect readings and maintain log sheets.
• Review installation procedures for new machines and documentations.
• Read drawings and manuals; ensure safe handling of tools.
• Support purchasing spare parts with supervisor.
• Ensure work is neat, professional and compliant with ISO 9001:2000 standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The job holder along with the team will be executing all activities (repairs, maintenance work) assigned by the Supervisor, with his guidance and help, on the day-to-day work. The job holder will lead and be responsible for successful completion of all assigned jobs / routine maintenance works.

Key Result Areas:

• Carry out all scheduled / non- scheduled repairs, maintenance, construction work under the guidance of the concerned Supervisor in the most efficient manner.


• Contribute in the development and implementation of the maintenance management systems.


• Inspect and record all necessary readings on a log sheet or checklist.


• Coordinate efforts across Junior Technicians to make sure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.


• Keep abreast on the installation procedures / documents of the new machines that are to be installed and prepare the necessary documentations.


• Communicate with supervisor on the work performed and handover jobs that are still pending before the end of the shift.


• Read and understand basic drawings, operational and maintenance manuals.


• Coordinate with the Supervisor to purchase spare parts for the job that is not completed during the shift.


• Ensure proper handling of tools and optimizes use of consumables.


• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in an efficient, professional and tidy manner before, after and during the job.


• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment's (PPE's) while executing the job, always apply the safety standard.


• Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 International Standards and execute his/her responsibility according to the department work procedures reflecting EKFC Quality Policy


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Qualification:

• A Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Control or Industrial Engineering from recognized college and institute.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience or hands on work experience in similar position in Hospitality, Catering, Facility Management or Project Management Industry.

Skills:

• Having same job experience.


• Knowledgeable work and application of safety procedures or standard.


• Needs technical & analytical skills.


• 100 % attendance and participation to the work.


• Excellent on oral & written communications skills.
