Job summary

Al Tayer Group in Dubai seeks an IT Operations Support professional to execute IT operations tasks, maintain documentation, and serve as custodian of the department's repository and configuration DB. You will coordinate with business, IT teams and suppliers, assist with policy reviews, install and configure IT infrastructure, monitor incidents, generate daily reports, and provide Go Live support.

The role requires 0–2 years in IT, knowledge of Windows/Mac/Linux, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science from a recognized university.
• ITIL certification is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Support IT Shared Services and Systems tasks and custodian to central team docs.
• Assist with policy review and configuration into end user compute systems.
• Coordinate end-to-end with business, IT teams and suppliers on goals.
• Support critical incident handling for priority incidents or service requests.
• Create PowerPoint and Excel reports for day-to-day ops needs.
• Assist in hardware/application requirements and facilitate acquisition of approved tech.
• Monitor progress against plans and coordinate with teams to take corrective action.
• Assist hardware configuration and testing with IT teams and stakeholders.
• Carry out hardware installations and provide go-live support for smooth ops.
• Provide periodic reports on operations and high-priority issues.
• Provide system configuration, administration and management for allocated ATG Systems.

To support in the execution of IT operation’s tasks, initiatives, and process. Custodian to department repository of documentation, reporting and configuration database. Includes coordination and in some instances install, configure, operate common IT infrastructure such as the Network, Servers, Storage, end-points and external services (e.g. the cloud such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure) so as to ensure smooth delivery of services to the user within Al Tayer. The job requires coordination, handling of priority incident and service request process, including trend reviews for the allocation teams or system areas

• Support on IT Shared Services and Systems related tasks. Role is custodian to the central team documentation. Maintains, updates and ensure all sub teams are adhering to the process.
• Assist with the review and implementation of Policy and configurations (via Subject matter experts) into Al Tayer end user compute systems.
• Carry end to end coordination with assigned tasks with business, IT teams and supplier on the assigned goals and target goals.
• Support on carrying out critical situation handling on identified priority 1 and priority 2 incidents or service requests.
• Assist with creation of Microsoft power point, excel based reports based on the day to day operations needs of the department
• Participate in assessment of hardware/application requirements and facilitate acquisition of the appropriate and approved technology, Systems, and services in coordination with various internal departments.
• Support on monitoring progress against the plan tasks, projects and activity within the team, take corrective action as and when required through effective coordination with relevant internal and external teams.
• Assist with carrying out hardware configuration and application testing in coordination with various internal IT teams (Application / Network / Server) and business stakeholders to organize, required approvals prior to actual installation.
• Carry out / coordinate hardware (Server / PC’s / POS / Peripherals etc ) installations and provide Go Live support to ensure smooth business operation
• Provide periodic reports on the operations, any high priority concern in timely manner.
• For the allocated ATG Systems, role will have to provide System configuration, administration, and management

Job Requirements

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science from a recognized university.
• ITIL

Years of Experience

• 0 - 2 years of Experience in IT Industry in a multiuser commercial environment
• Knowledge of base Operating Systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), Cloud based productivity suite(s) like Office365, Google. Network & compute stacks (Domain, TCP, Web Servers etc.)
• Good understanding and functional knowledge of common IT Infrastructure such as the network technologies and Concepts (This includes routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring and management), Servers, and external services (e.g. the cloud, SD WAN)
