Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an IT Assistant to join the IT team and provide daily support to colleagues and guests. The role covers IT hardware/software maintenance, AV services for meetings, and involvement in ongoing IT projects.

The ideal candidate will have IT/AV experience, strong communication skills, and a flexible, proactive mindset to thrive in a luxury hotel environment in Dubai.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree is a plus.
• Experience in IT and AV support, including equipment setup and repair.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Creative, flexible, and proficient in word processing and computer systems.
• Physically capable of long periods of sitting/standing and good hearing/eyesight.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support to colleagues and guests, including second-line support.
• Assist with routine IT tasks and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
• Deliver dedicated Audio Visual support, including preventive maintenance and event setup.
• Support meetings and events with IT-related AV services.
• Follow up on project tasks as part of ongoing project management responsibilities.
• Monitor and assist with cybersecurity operations and ensure compliance with security protocols.
