Key Responsibilities
  • The role will combine maintenance planning, field troubleshooting, manpower coordination, technical assurance, project support, and contractor oversight.
  • Support operations and maintenance teams during equipment testing and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate routine equipment surveillance and plant start-up activities.
  • Work with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate maintenance activities with operational priorities.
  • Ensure planned maintenance work is completed according to approved schedules.
  • Provide field support during critical instrument and control-system maintenance.
  • Resolve equipment problems with minimum disruption and downtime.
  • Determine manpower requirements for preventive, breakdown, and shutdown work.
  • Allocate employees and external resources according to daily maintenance priorities.
  • Review workloads, backlogs, planned activities, and completion requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant sections to achieve agreed maintenance plans.
  • Monitor the availability of materials, spare parts, consumables, tools, and specialist resources.
  • Verify that maintenance materials meet required quality and quantity standards.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis following equipment failures and unplanned shutdowns.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive measures that improve reliability and availability.
  • Identify forthcoming major maintenance, upgrade, and obsolescence requirements.
  • Contribute technical information to the division 's five-year rolling business plan.
  • Support the development, implementation, and commissioning of new projects.
  • Review project designs and technical specifications for compliance, operability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Help define technical requirements for instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.
  • Inspect received materials to verify quality and specification compliance.
  • Monitor contractors performing assigned maintenance or project work.
  • Confirm that contractor activities follow approved quality and technical standards.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and provide progress information to management.
Ideal Profile

Applicants should hold a bachelor 's degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification. A minimum of six years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization is required. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred. The successful candidate should understand plant instrumentation, control systems, equipment testing, preventive maintenance, shutdown planning, troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical specifications. Strong coordination, analytical judgement, resource planning, and contractor-management capabilities are essential. Applicable professional certifications will provide an advantage.
