The Instock Manager will take ownership of inventory planning and availability across a major fashion category, balancing customer demand with efficient stock investment and fulfillment capability. The role has direct business impact because stronger forecasting, replenishment accuracy, vendor reliability, and inventory health can improve product availability while reducing excess stock, operational inefficiencies, and avoidable costs. Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory availability and overall inventory health across the assigned fashion category.
- Improve in-stock performance through disciplined demand planning, forecasting, and replenishment management.
- Monitor vendor fill rates, lead times, operational efficiency, and supply reliability.
- Work with vendors to address recurring availability issues and improve end-to-end inventory performance.
- Partner with vendor managers and marketing teams to support sales growth and stronger category profitability.
- Maintain and optimize key system inputs that enable automated replenishment decisions.
- Evaluate purchasing and inventory workflows to identify areas where automation can reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with fulfillment center and operations teams to improve inventory flow and execution efficiency.
- Conduct detailed business analysis to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.
- Translate operational and commercial data into clear inventory actions and project priorities.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives involving retail, operations, technology, and vendor management teams.
- Support the development and improvement of tools used for purchasing, forecasting, replenishment, and supplier performance.
- Track inventory trends and identify risks related to stock shortages, excess inventory, or unreliable supply.
- Apply structured process improvement methods to create sustainable improvements across inventory operations.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor 's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, project management, or a closely related field.
- Broader experience across operations, retail, consulting, IT, or finance is valuable, particularly where the candidate has owned measurable business results.
- Strong background in inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and cross-functional projects.
- Practical experience working with operational data and using analysis to support decisions.
- Comfortable collaborating with vendor management, marketing, operations, and technical teams.
- Experience improving systems or workflows that support purchasing or inventory planning.
- Strong Excel capability, ideally backed by at least 3 years of regular business use.
- Understanding of statistical inventory control principles is preferred.
- Exposure to Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement techniques is an advantage.
