Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair in Dubai is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and guide Room Attendants to maintain cleanliness across all guest rooms and public areas. You will ensure compliance with Leading Quality Assurance standards and collaborate with Front Office to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while supervising performance and training new team members.

The role offers visa support for selected candidates and opportunities to develop leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred.
• Excellence in strategic leadership and team management.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and delegate daily tasks to Housekeeping Attendants and provide necessary resources for efficient service.
• Handle guest requests and complaints with care and follow up to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and compliance with Leading Quality Assurance standards.
• Monitor room status (VIP/DND) and communicate status to Front Office to maintain efficient operations.
• Report damaged items and lost/found items following procedures; coordinate with Engineering as needed.
• Order supplies timely and maintain inventory levels.
• Evaluate Attendant performance and provide feedback; report issues to supervisors.
• Train Room Attendants on Standards of Performance (SPI’s) and Leading Quality Assurance standards.

Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor you are responsible for supervising the daily operation as well as the Room Attendants to ensure standards are followed and cleanliness in all related areas is maintained.

What You Will Be Doing

• Prepare and delegate daily tasks to Housekeeping Attendants and provide Housekeeping Attendants with necessary resources such as keys and supplies to ensure efficient service on the floors
• Handle Guest requests and complaints with care and follow up effectively to enhance Guest satisfaction
• Inspect Guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and compliance to the Leading Quality Assurance standards of the Hotel
• Monitor room status i.e VIP/DND etc and effectively communicate room status and release rooms to the Front Office Department to maintain an efficient operation
• Report damaged items in the room and broken equipment to the Engineering Department as well as any lost and found items by following the set procedures
• Order Housekeeping supplies on time and ensure inventory procedures are followed to maintain sufficient stock levels for the operational demands
• Evaluate Housekeeping Attendant performance throughout the year and provide effective feedback when needed. Report any performance issues to the Assistant Housekeeper/ Assistant Director of Housekeeping
• Train Room Attendants on Standards of Performance (SPI’s) to maintain the desired level of performance and Leading Quality Assurance standards
