Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead the Housekeeping team, ensuring top cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the hotel. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with Front Office and Engineering, and drive guest satisfaction and service recovery.

Responsibilities include staff training, performance appraisals, and maintaining safety and confidentiality while upholding MO standards.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma required; hospitality qualification or bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Business Management advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment, including at least 2 years in Housekeeping operations.
• Middle East and hotel pre-opening experience are strong advantages.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; Arabic beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day Housekeeping operations.
• Lead, motivate, train and develop the Housekeeping team with appraisals and trainings.
• Ensure adherence to safety, confidentiality and brand standards.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering; manage inventories and minibar.
• Respond to guest needs, handle complaints and deliver service recovery.
• Drive quality audits and cost-efficient operations without compromising standards.

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our Housekeeping team Are you a master of craft Do you thrive in a team that succeeds together demonstrating integrity and respect while acting responsibly Do you embrace a growth mindset We invite you to become a fan of the exceptional About the job Based At the Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai within the Housekeeping department in Dubai the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day Housekeeping operations together with the Executive Housekeeper and or Director of Rooms ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness hygiene and presentation are consistently maintained throughout the hotel Housekeeping Manager reports to the Executive Housekeeper As a Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for the following duties Lead motivate train and develop the Housekeeping team ensuring strong performance compliance with standards and regular appraisals and training plans Ensure full adherence to Mandarin Oriental policies procedures code of conduct confidentiality requirements safety standards and a respectful discrimination-free workplace Oversee housekeeping operations including cleaning schedules inventories minibar management productivity monitoring preventive maintenance programs and coordination with Front Office and Engineering Maintain exceptional guest service standards by responding promptly to guest needs handling complaints effectively managing service recovery and ensuring guest preferences are met Drive operational excellence by implementing quality audit and brand standards Forbes LQA MOQA FLHSS & E while delivering cost-effective operations without compromising quality Act as a hotel ambassador support departmental projects and emergency situations promote a positive working environment and perform additional duties as assigned by management.

As a Housekeeping Manager, we expect from you:

• Secondary school diploma required; vocational hospitality qualification or a bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Business Management is advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment, including at least 2 years within Housekeeping operations.
• Middle East and hotel pre-opening experience are considered strong advantages.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
• Excellent planning, organizational, multitasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities, with a professional appearance and approach.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and flexible to work overnight shifts and varying schedules as operationally required.
