Job summary

The St. Regis Dubai is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance on building systems, and ensure safety and cleanliness across engineering tasks.

You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues, operate shut-offs, maintain equipment inventory, and support landscaping duties as required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some maintenance experience; hotel engineering experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Inspect tools and equipment and carry necessary gear to work sites.
• Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings; maintain inventory and requisition parts.
• Document daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved systems.
• Perform painting, surface prep, minor drywall repairs, and lighting/AC filter work.
• Test and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and equipment problems; program TVs as needed.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintain safety standards.
• Assist with landscaping and use basic computer systems for scheduling and temperature adjustments.
