Job summary

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Dubai seeks a diligent Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests and coordinate with teams to resolve issues across guestrooms and facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and kitchen equipment; inspect tools and systems; and manage shut‑offs and safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout.

Strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; hospitality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in general maintenance and painting preferred.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests.
• Communicate issues to shifts using approved systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and buildings for repair needs.
• Operate shut-off valves and manage safety procedures.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts.
• Perform painting, minor drywall repairs, and cleaning of work areas.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment, electrical, and plumbing.
