Rixos is seeking a Hostess to create a warm first impression by greeting guests, seating them, and managing reservations at our luxury restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah. You will maintain knowledge of layouts, menus, promotions, and hotel services while providing friendly, efficient service.

The role requires strong English communication, a professional appearance, and the ability to handle busy periods, waiting lists, and special requests.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Hostess or in a similar food and beverage role.
• Excellent English verbal communication; additional Arabic or Russian is a plus.
• Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and well-groomed presentation.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations, cancellations, table assignments, and special requests.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant layouts, operating hours, menus, promotions, and hotel services.
• Answer telephone inquiries professionally.
• Monitor guest flow and organize waiting lists during busy periods.

Job Description

The Hostess is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting and seating guests, managing restaurant reservations, and ensuring an organized flow of service. The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their assigned tables

Manage restaurant reservations, cancellations, table assignments, and special requests

Maintain accurate knowledge of restaurant layouts, operating hours, menus, promotions, and hotel services

Answer telephone enquiries professionally and according to service standards

Monitor guest flow and organize waiting lists during busy periods

Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to enquiries, and assist with resolving concerns

Conduct table visits and coordinate with the team to ensure guest satisfaction

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented hostess desk and dining area

Support menu preparation, cashiering procedures, and restaurant operations when required

Work closely with colleagues to deliver friendly, efficient, and professional service

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Hostess or in a similar food and beverage role
• Good verbal communication skills in English, additional languages (Arabic, Russian) are an advantage.
• Strong guest service and interpersonal skills
• Pleasant, professional, and well-groomed appearance
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
• Basic computer skills
