Job summary

Sofitel in Dubai is seeking a guest-focused host/reservation agent with at least 2 years’ experience in hotel operations. You will manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and seat them according to the floor plan to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Answer calls within 3 rings, confirm reservations, relay changes to management, maintain clean hostess/standing areas, and help anticipate peak times. A diploma in Hospitality or Tourism and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in hotel operations.
• Strong customer service, communications, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate seating.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone within 3 rings using proper etiquette.
• Take reservations and cancellations in accordance with standards.
• Communicate changes to management during shift.
• Monitor own assignments for compliance with standards.
• Ensure menus and check folders are stocked and hostess stand organized.
• Review reservation book, pre-assign tables, follow up on special requests.
• Greet guests at the restaurant entrance and seat them according to floor plan.
• Present menus and ensure tables are set for service.
• Anticipate busy periods and manage waiting lines.
