Job summary

Westin in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards across hotel systems.

You will inspect equipment, carry tools, log daily activities, and support energy conservation and repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building finishes. Strong focus on guest comfort and property upkeep.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment in kitchens and mechanical rooms.
• Inspect and test electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Operate shut-off valves and monitor safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
