Job summary

Minar Holdings seeks an experienced General Manager - Fleet Operations & Maintenance to lead our fleet, maintenance, workshop activities, and overall operational performance in Abu Dhabi. You will drive utilization, reliability, and cost control while building strong client relationships with government entities and oil & gas clients.

The role demands 15–20 years in fleet operations with 8+ years in senior leadership, UAE-based experience, and a track record of profitability and HSE

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• MBA in Operations, Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred.
• 15–20 years in fleet operations and maintenance with at least 8 years in leadership.
• Strong UAE experience in transport, logistics or oil & gas support services.
• Proven cost control, KPI development, and client relationship skills.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Odoo, GPS or fleet management systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance, workshop performance, and vehicle reliability.
• Support management in business development, tender submissions, pricing, and commercial strategies.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, government entities, and oil & gas companies.
• Drive profitability, operational excellence, HSE compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• MBA in Operations, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
• 15-20 years of relevant experience in fleet operations and maintenance, including at least 8 years in senior leadership.
• Strong UAE experience in transport, logistics, heavy equipment, or oil & gas support services.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale fleets, KPI development, cost control, and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and business development support skills.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Odoo, GPS, or fleet management systems is an advantage.
