Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience in fleet maintenance management for transportation/school or commercial fleets.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams, workshops, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, fleet safety, maintenance planning, and workshop operations.
• Experience with fleet performance monitoring, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and fleet maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet maintenance operations to ensure vehicle availability and readiness.

About the Role:

A leading transportation and mobility organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced.

Manager – Fleet Maintenance to oversee fleet maintenance operations within its School Transport function.

The role is responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, vehicle safety, operational readiness, and maintenance efficiency through effective planning, preventive maintenance, workshop management, and compliance with applicable safety standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fleet maintenance operations to ensure vehicle availability, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for the school transport fleet.
• Monitor vehicle downtime, maintenance costs, repair quality, and fleet performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal maintenance procedures.
• Manage workshops, maintenance teams, spare parts availability, and external service providers.
• Establish maintenance schedules aligned with school transport operational requirements and service commitments.
• Analyze recurring vehicle defects and implement corrective actions to improve fleet performance and reduce downtime.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising safety or service quality.
• Coordinate with School Transport Operations and other relevant departments to ensure fleet readiness during peak operational periods.
• Prepare regular reports on fleet condition, maintenance activities, costs, and key performance indicators.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in fleet maintenance management, preferably within transportation, school transport, or commercial fleet operations.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams, workshops, preventive maintenance programs, and vehicle repair activities.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, fleet safety requirements, maintenance planning, and workshop operations.
• Experience in fleet performance monitoring, maintenance budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet maintenance management systems.
