Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Workshop Coordinator to oversee maintenance and repair of the fleet, including heavy trucks, trailers and MHE, in the UAE. You will schedule preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure documentation, manage spare parts and coordinate with mechanics, drivers and management to minimize downtime.

You will also monitor compliance with UAE regulations, uphold safety standards, and stream data in ERP/FMS for fleet performance, while prioritizing urgent repairs and coordinating

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in workshop coordination, fleet, or transport operations, preferably FMCG or logistics.
• Hands-on experience with workshop documentation and fleet management systems.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and MHE maintenance and service.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Fleet/Workshop Management Systems (ERP/FMS).

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for all fleet vehicles and MHE in coordination with operations.
• Ensure timely servicing of vehicles to reduce breakdowns and maximize availability.
• Maintain workshop job cards, track progress, and update relevant stakeholders.
• Prioritize repair works based on operational urgency and fleet requirements.
• Assist in monitoring vehicle performance, identifying recurring issues, and escalating to the Fleet & Workshop Manager.
• Ensure that mechanics and technicians follow standard repair procedures and safety protocols.
• Arrange recovery assistance for breakdowns in coordination with drivers and transport teams.
• Receive spare parts requests from workshop supervisors/mechanics and verify against approved job cards/work orders.

The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all workshop activities related to the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, vans, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This role ensures smooth scheduling, proper documentation, spare parts management, and communication between mechanics, drivers, and management.
