Role Context

This position is designed for an early years educator who can create meaningful learning experiences during the Foundation Stage, when children develop essential communication, social, emotional, physical, literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving abilities. The Foundation Stage Teacher will use the EYFS framework to plan age-appropriate learning, encourage curiosity through play and exploration, and provide the structure and care young learners need to progress confidently. The role also requires close collaboration with colleagues and families to maintain consistency between classroom learning and individual developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Foundation Stage teaching in accordance with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Plan engaging lessons and learning experiences suited to early years development.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports exploration, creativity, and active learning.
  • Use play-based teaching approaches to strengthen communication, social, and cognitive development.
  • Plan activities that support literacy, numeracy, physical development, and understanding of the world.
  • Encourage positive relationships and effective communication among young learners.
  • Observe individual children and identify their developmental progress and learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to respond to different abilities and learning styles.
  • Maintain accurate observations and records of children 's development.
  • Use assessment information to plan appropriate next steps for each learner.
  • Develop learning resources that are age appropriate, safe, and engaging.
  • Support children 's confidence, independence, and positive attitudes toward learning.
  • Establish clear classroom routines that help young children feel secure and focused.
  • Promote appropriate behavior through positive reinforcement and consistent expectations.
  • Encourage language development through stories, conversation, role play, and structured activities.
  • Provide opportunities for creative expression through art, music, movement, and imaginative play.
  • Support fine and gross motor development through suitable classroom and physical activities.
  • Ensure teaching practices reflect the principles and learning objectives of the EYFS framework.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom organization and learning resource management.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff where applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment, and curriculum improvement.
  • Communicate professionally with parents regarding children 's learning and development.
  • Build positive relationships with families and support effective home-school communication.
  • Identify children who may require additional learning or developmental support.
  • Contribute to intervention and support strategies where required.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of every child.
  • Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to Continuous Professional Development initiatives and shared learning across the school group.
  • Apply new teaching ideas and best practices gained through professional learning.
  • Support school events, activities, and wider early years initiatives.
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct, punctuality, organization, and communication.
  • Be prepared to join immediately and contribute effectively from the start of appointment.
Ideal Profile Candidates

Candidates should hold an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification supported by certificates attested in the United Arab Emirates. A B.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. Applicants should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in the same or a closely related Foundation Stage teaching role. Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is essential. Experience teaching within a British Curriculum school would be an advantage. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent English communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with young children, parents, colleagues, and school leadership. The school is seeking a patient, organized, enthusiastic, and caring educator who understands the developmental needs of early years learners. Immediate availability is required.
