Overview

Foundation Stage and HRT Teachers - EYFS in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is an education management role focused on delivering high-quality early years and homeroom teaching within a school environment. This position is suitable for qualified and passionate teachers with strong EYFS curriculum knowledge, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young learners.

Role Context

The Foundation Stage and HRT Teachers support children through play‑based learning, structured classroom routines, observation‑led assessment, early literacy, early numeracy, and child‑centered teaching. The role requires teachers who can create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment while supporting students’ social, emotional, physical, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS and homeroom lessons aligned with British curriculum expectations and school learning standards.
  • Create a safe, caring, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for Foundation Stage and early years learners.
  • Support children’s development across communication and language, physical development, personal social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts.
  • Use play‑based learning, stories, songs, role play, hands‑on activities, creative tasks, and inquiry‑led methods to encourage active participation.
  • Prepare age‑appropriate lesson plans, classroom resources, displays, learning centres, worksheets, assessments, and practical activities.
  • Observe, assess, and record student progress in line with EYFS curriculum expectations and school reporting procedures.
  • Identify individual learning needs and provide differentiated support for children with varied abilities and developmental stages.
  • Promote early literacy, phonics awareness, numeracy development, communication skills, confidence, independence, and positive social behaviour.
  • Manage classroom routines, transitions, behaviour expectations, and daily learning activities effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with children through patience, encouragement, consistency, care, and positive interaction.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, well‑being, behaviour, and learning milestones.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, coordinators, school leaders, and colleagues to support curriculum delivery and student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, observations, assessments, attendance, progress, and classroom documentation.
  • Participate in school events, assemblies, parent meetings, staff meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning activities.
  • Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, child protection, health and safety, assessment, and student well‑being.
Ideal Profile
  • B.Ed qualification is mandatory.
  • B.Ed certificate should be attested from the UAE.
  • Postgraduate or undergraduate qualification is required.
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.
  • Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in the same field.
  • Experience teaching Foundation Stage, EYFS, KG, Homeroom, or early years learners in a school environment.
  • Experience in the British Curriculum will be an advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong classroom management, lesson planning, observation, and assessment skills.
  • Ability to create a nurturing, creative, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Passionate about early childhood education, student well‑being, and holistic development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, parents, and school leadership.
  • Professional approach to documentation, parent communication, and school responsibilities.
