Finance & VAT Specialist | UAE Accounts & Payroll

Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks an experienced finance professional to manage day-to-day accounting, VAT compliance, and reporting. You will handle AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and assist in closing monthly, quarterly, and annual books.

Fluency in English and UAE experience are essential; manufacturing or construction exposure is a plus. ERP experience with Tally/QuickBooks/SAP and advanced Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–5 years UAE experience in finance and accounts.
• Experience in manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all daily accounting entries in the system in a correct and timely manner
• Handle accounts payable
• accounts receivable
• petty cash
• bank entries and journal entries
• Prepare and review ledgers
• trial balance and other basic financial reports
• Prepare customer invoices
• delivery notes and supporting documents
• Check supplier invoices and match them with PO DO and LPO
• Follow up for outstanding customer payments and ensure timely collections
• Handle bank reconciliation statements every month
• Monitor daily bank balances cheques and cash flow
• Coordinate with banks for deposits transfers and queries
• Prepare VAT workings and ensure all sales and purchase entries are compliant with UAE VATlaw
• Assist in preparing VAT returns and supporting documents
• Maintain proper VAT files for audits and inspections
• Prepare monthly payroll overtime leave salary and end-of-service calculations
• Coordinate with HR for attendance and deductions
• Support monthly quarterly and annual closing
• Prepare MIS reports expense reports and cash-flow summaries for management review
• Help in preparing budgets and forecasts whenever required
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Ensure all accounting records documents and files are organized for easy reference
• Follow all company policies and legal regulations
