Job summary

Faham in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Facility Supervisor to lead its facility operations and team. The role focuses on safe, compliant, efficient maintenance, vendor management and continuous improvement of facilities.

Key responsibilities include supervising technicians and outsourced staff, planning maintenance for MEP/HVAC, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving audits and improvements. The ideal candidate has UAE experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Facilities Management.
• 8+ years facilities management experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role, preferably in UAE.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (MEP, HVAC, fire safety).
• Understanding UAE safety regulations and authority approval processes.
• Proven experience managing teams, vendors, contracts, and budgets.
• Hands-on with CAFM software and MS Office.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• IFMA FMP, CFM, NEBOSH, or IOSH Certification preferred.
• UAE driving licence preferred; Arabic language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the facilities team, including technicians, cleaners, security staff, and outsourced personnel.
• Plan and oversee maintenance for MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
• Manage vendor relationships, tenders, contracts, AMC, SLA and KPI monitoring.
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget and identify cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety standards and authorities.
• Conduct site audits and risk assessments, driving corrective actions.
• Oversee fit-out, refurbishment, and small capital projects from planning to handover.
• Manage space planning, office moves, and workplace changes.
• Maintain asset registers and facility documentation using CAFM where available.
• Own permit, license, and insurance renewals related to facilities.
• Lead emergency response, business continuity, and evacuation drills.
• Report facility performance, costs and improvements to management.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Facility Supervisor to lead our facility operations and the team behind them. You will make sure our sites are safe, compliant, efficient, and well maintained, while managing vendors and budgets and continually improving how our facilities run.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the facilities team, including technicians, cleaners, security staff, and outsourced personnel, and handle scheduling, performance, and training.
• Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including tendering, contract negotiation, AMC management, and SLA and KPI monitoring.
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget, track spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE health and safety standards and with Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, and other authority requirements.
• Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments, and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Oversee fit-out, refurbishment, and small capital projects from planning to handover.
• Manage space planning, office moves, and workplace changes.
• Maintain asset registers, maintenance records, and facility documentation, using CAFM systems where available.
• Own permit, license, and insurance renewals related to the facilities.
• Lead emergency response, business continuity planning, and evacuation drills.
• Report regularly to management on facility performance, costs, and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), Facilities Management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of facilities management experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems such as MEP, HVAC, and fire safety.
• Thorough understanding of UAE safety regulations and authority approval processes.
• Proven experience managing teams, vendors, contracts, and budgets.
• Hands-on experience with CAFM software and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A recognised certification such as IFMA FMP, CFM, NEBOSH, or IOSH is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.
