Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead, support, coach, and mentor the maintenance team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards.
• Manage Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians, defining priorities, goals, staffing plans, and training requirements.
• Lead external contractors and coordinate their activities within the facility.
• Work with the site team and wider network to apply available technical expertise and develop effective solutions.
• Maintain Asset Performance Management metrics and drive improvement across performance and compliance KPIs.
• Support the Reliability Engineering Manager, Site Safety, and site leadership with implementation, documentation, and auditing of safety and statutory compliance programs.
• Apply network standards and preventive maintenance practices to maintain high levels of equipment availability.
• Ensure sufficient technical coverage across assigned shifts through effective workforce and training planning.
• Organize local engineering projects and support AMET-level projects as assigned.
• Develop and implement annual maintenance contracts with vendors and establish appropriate service levels.
• Monitor contractor performance against agreed service level agreements.
• Maintain a safe working environment by applying Amazon Safety Policy and working with the Safety team on site improvements.

Engineering and Maintenance Scope The Facilities Coordinator supports reactive and proactive maintenance across operational equipment and facility infrastructure. The role requires practical engineering experience and exposure to automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation equipment, and conveyor systems. The position also covers mechanical systems, HVAC systems, controls, base-building services, material handling equipment, and other technical and soft services associated with day-to-day facility operations.

Operational Support

• Monitor and respond daily to Reliability Maintenance Engineering customer requests through the trouble-ticketing system.
• Maintain a strong customer-focused approach when handling maintenance requests.
• Verify the quality of services delivered by annual maintenance contract vendors.
• Identify and raise vendor service failures against applicable service level agreements.
• Work to maintain equipment capacity and availability required for Fulfillment Center operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift, or work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, including mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, and controls.
• In-depth understanding of facility maintenance and facility management systems, tools, and procedures.
• Bachelor 's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, or an engineering diploma in the same fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of facility operations and maintenance best practices.
