Job summary

Dubai World Trade Centre seeks an experienced Night Operations role to act as the main liaison between clients and internal teams during events, ensuring smooth service delivery and rapid issue resolution.

The role requires a university degree and at least 2 years in events operations, with fluency in English and strong MS Office skills. You will monitor service providers, handle complaints, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• University degree level is required.
• Minimum 2 years in the event industry in an operational role.
• Fluent English in verbal and written form.
• Strong computer literacy and MS Office skills.
• IOSH certification preferred.
• Knowledge of EBMS and AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal interface between the client and DWTC's internal departments and contractors at night.

• Oversee night-time venue activities, respond to queries, monitor service providers, and manage complaints and emergencies.

• Monitor operating costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare night shift reports and analyze key KPIs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Event Related

• Act as principal interface between the client and DWTC's internal departments, and its nominated contractors at night, when Event Planner is out of duty
• Establish effective relationships with clients, instilling the confidence necessary for repeat business
• Encourage a high level of customer service awareness from all customers/public facing staff
• Take ownership of activities taking place at the venue at night, answering queries, monitoring the performance of service providers and effectively dealing with complaints and emergency situations

Infrastructure Related

• Emergency response and escalation management
• Ensure compliance with DWTC policies, procedures, and HSE standards
• Implement risk control strategies and incident management
• Monitor operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives
• Prepare night shift reports and analyze key operational KPIs

Operating Environment

• The position is based on a duty pattern of 5 nights / week as per business requirements and agreed roster
• Office based at 50%, the job requires a lot of onsite presence throughout the venue and unsociable working hours (mostly evenings, weekends and public holidays) as per each event's operational requirements
• Events are taking place mostly indoors however some elements may take place outdoors, and some events may take place in offsite venues managed by DWTC. Meetings may also take place at clients premises
