Executive – Night Operations

Job summary

DWTC (Dubai World Trade Centre) seeks a night operations professional to act as the main liaison between clients and internal teams and contractors during events. The role requires strong client relationships and a focus on service quality, with extensive onsite presence and after-hours duties.

You will manage emergencies, uphold HSE standards, monitor costs, and report on key KPIs. A university degree and two years in events operations are expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Computer literacy essential.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Email.
• Knowledge of EBMS Report Writing.
• IOSH certified.
• Knowledge of Auto CAD.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare night shift reports and analyze key operational KPIs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Event Related

• Act as principal interface between the client and DWTC’s internal departments, and its nominated contractors at night, when Event Planner is out of duty
• Establish effective relationships with clients, instilling the confidence necessary for repeat business
• Encourage a high level of customer service awareness from all customers/public facing staff
• Take ownership of activities taking place at the venue at night, answering queries, monitoring the performance of service providers and effectively dealing with complaints and emergency situations

Infrastructure Related

• Emergency response and escalation management
• Ensure compliance with DWTC policies, procedures, and HSE standards
• Implement risk control strategies and incident management
• Monitor operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives
• Prepare night shift reports and analyze key operational KPIs

Operating Environment

The position is based on a duty pattern of 5 nights / week as per business requirements and agreed roster Office based at 50%, the job requires a lot of onsite presence throughout the venue and unsociable working hours (mostly evenings, weekends and public holidays) as per each event’s operational requirements Events are taking place mostly indoors however some elements may take place outdoors, and some events may take place in offsite venues managed by DWTC. Meetings may also take place at clients’ premises

Work Experience

Minimum of 2-year experience in the event industry in an operational role
