Job summary
Al-Futtaim, in partnership with BYD, is seeking an EV Service Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair BYD electric vehicles in the UAE. You will work to high safety and quality standards and support a fast-growing EV brand.
The role requires 2-3 years of automotive experience, a technical qualification, and knowledge of HV systems. You will join the BYD Aftersales Retail Team within Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, delivering exceptional customer service and staying ahead of EV tech.
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- 2–3 years experience as Automotive/EV Technician.
- Experience with EVs or HV systems preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on BYD EVs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot EV systems including HV components.
- Carry out repairs per manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards.
- Complete repairs right the first time to minimize downtime.
- Perform vehicle inspections and support EVC reporting.
- Follow high‑voltage safety procedures and 5S standards.
- Use parts, tools, and workshop resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team to deliver great service.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EV technology.
