Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking an experienced Service Technician – Electric Vehicles to support BYD aftersales operations in Dubai, UAE. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair BYD EVs, following manufacturer procedures and EV safety standards.

The role offers hands-on experience with high-voltage systems, battery technology, and EV diagnostics within a modern workshop environment, with opportunities for career development in electrified mobility in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/NCVT/ITC or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of relevant automotive experience preferred.
• Experience with vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance and repair highly desirable.
• Exposure to electric or hybrid vehicles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, diagnose, and repair BYD electric vehicles.
• Identify faults in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and EV systems.
• Assist with diagnosis of high-voltage components and battery systems.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
• Adhere to safety precautions around EV and high-voltage systems.
• Contribute to EV check reporting and vehicle inspections.
• Complete repairs accurately to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manuals to resolve issues.
• Maintain workshop quality, safety, and cleanliness.
