Job summary

BYD UAE is seeking an EV Service Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair BYD electric vehicles in our UAE service network. You will work within the Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility team to deliver high-quality customer experiences and safe, reliable EV performance.

You will handle high-voltage systems under manufacturer guidelines and stay current with evolving EV technology. A Diploma/ITI and 2–3 years of hands-on EV or automotive experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–3 years as Automotive/Diagnostic/EV Technician.
• Hands-on diagnostics, maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience on Electric/Hybrid vehicles is preferred.
• HV safety awareness and EV systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Good English communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repair on BYD EVs.
• Diagnose EV systems, high-voltage components and battery systems.
• Follow OEM guidelines and EV safety standards during repairs.
• Complete repairs correctly the first time to minimize downtime.
• Support EV checks and EVC reporting.
• Maintain safety procedures and 5S standards in the workshop.
• Utilize parts and tools efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to deliver quality service.
• Keep up-to-date with EV technology and innovations.
