Job summary

AlFuttaim is seeking an experienced EV Service Technician to service BYD battery-electric vehicles in Dubai. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, focusing on high-voltage safety, charging systems, and battery technology.

You will work with the Aftersales Retail Team to deliver high-quality, first-time-right repairs, meet productivity targets, and stay current with BYD training and EV developments in a busy UAE workshop.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, trade certificate, or equivalent automotive technical qualification.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and component replacement.
• Experience servicing electric or hybrid vehicles and understanding high-voltage safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostic checks, inspections, and repair work on BYD electric vehicles.
• Diagnose faults in electric drivetrains, battery systems, charging systems, and electronic controls.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic systems, scan tools, and electrical test instruments.
• Follow high‑voltage isolation and safety procedures; perform post‑repair functional tests and road tests.
