Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive in Dubai seeks a General Repair Technician – Electric Vehicles to support BYD servicing and repairs. The role targets hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis, and EV workshop procedures.

You will work with the BYD Aftersales Retail Team at Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, performing diagnostics, following safety standards, and contributing to a high-quality customer experience. 2–3 years of automotive technician experience and a relevant technical diploma are preferred, with UAE

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in automotive fields (ITI/NCVT/ITC).
• 2–3 years of relevant automotive technician experience.
• Experience with EVs/hybrid vehicles is an advantage.
• Ability to read workshop manuals and service procedures.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on BYD vehicles.
• Identify faults and carry out the appropriate repairs.
• Follow repair procedures and EV safety requirements.
• Complete repairs correctly the first time while maintaining workmanship standards.
• Inspect vehicles and assist with EV check reports.
• Follow workshop health, safety, quality, and 5S procedures.
• Complete assigned repair jobs within productivity targets.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians when additional support is required.
• Use workshop equipment and diagnostic tools responsibly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional working environment.
• Support aftersales team to provide reliable service and customer experience.
