Job summary

Al Futtaim Private Company (LLC) is seeking an Automotive Technician with experience in diagnostics and EV systems to service BYD electric vehicles. You will diagnose, repair and inspect EV components, while following high‑voltage safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

The role requires working knowledge of electrical and electronic automotive systems, and a proactive approach to learning about the latest EV technologies. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
2–3 years of automotive repair experience.
Knowledge of electrical, electronic and automotive systems.
Understanding of EV technology and battery/charging systems (preferred).
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret manuals.
Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repair work on BYD electric vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot EV systems, including high‑voltage components and battery systems.
Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards.
Complete repairs right the first time, minimizing vehicle downtime.
Perform vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting.
Follow all high‑voltage safety procedures, workshop processes and 5S standards.
Ensure efficient use of parts, tools and workshop resources.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EV technology and the latest automotive innovations.
