Job Overview
Supports quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities, quotation preparation, supplier coordination, technical documentation, and commercial follow‑up activities within the Trading Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer enquiries, specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Perform quantity take‑offs for materials, equipment, and related project requirements.
- Prepare bills of quantities based on available technical information.
- Develop accurate quotations and commercial proposal documents.
- Request prices, technical data, and delivery information from suppliers.
- Compare supplier quotations and identify suitable commercial options.
- Follow up on submitted quotations with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain organized records of enquiries, estimates, quotations, and revisions.
- Prepare technical documents, compliance sheets, and product‑related submissions.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Support the preparation of cost breakdowns and estimation worksheets.
- Verify quantities, rates, and proposal details before submission.
- Update quotation status and maintain accurate follow‑up records.
- Assist sales and project teams with technical and commercial information.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other office applications for daily work.
- Review AutoCAD drawings where required for quantity extraction and technical understanding.
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Support additional estimation and trading activities assigned by management.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma, Bachelor of Technology, or Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
- Academic background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Up to 1 year of relevant estimation, trading, procurement, or engineering experience.
- Fresh graduates with suitable technical knowledge may apply.
- Basic understanding of quantity take‑offs, bills of quantities, and quotation preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good numerical, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing quantities and prices.
- Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Organized approach to quotation tracking and document control.
- Willingness to learn commercial estimation and trading processes.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and meet submission deadlines.
