Role Context
The Pre‑Sales Engineer – Trading will support the sales and technical teams by preparing accurate commercial and technical documents for client requirements. The role includes reviewing project requirements, assisting with BOQ preparation, preparing quotations, following up with customers, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with suppliers. The successful candidate will help improve pre‑sales efficiency by ensuring timely, organized, and accurate support for trading division proposals and client submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in quantity take‑off based on project requirements, drawings, specifications, and client inquiries.
- Prepare bills of quantity, quotations, and supporting commercial documents.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and coordinate updates with the sales team.
- Prepare technical documents, product details, compliance sheets, and related submission files as required.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, product information, technical details, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Support the preparation of client proposals and trading division documentation.
- Maintain quotation records, supplier correspondence, customer inquiries, and project‑related files.
- Work with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely pre‑sales support.
- Use MS Office and Outlook for documentation, reporting, communication, and quotation tracking.
- Assist with AutoCAD‑related review or basic drawing interpretation when required.
- Ensure all documents are prepared clearly, professionally, and in line with company standards.
- Support day‑to‑day pre‑sales activities and complete assigned tasks from the sales or trading division team.
Ideal Profile
- Diploma, B.Tech, or BE in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0‑1 year of relevant experience in pre‑sales, estimation, sales support, technical documentation, or trading operations.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical interest and willingness to learn can also apply.
- Basic understanding of engineering products, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
- AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Ability to prepare BOQs, quotations, and documentation with accuracy.
- Strong coordination skills for working with suppliers, sales teams, and internal departments.
- Good communication, organization, and follow‑up skills.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple quotation or documentation tasks.
- Willingness to learn trading division operations, product details, supplier coordination, and customer support processes.
