Job summary

Virtual pro in Dubai seeks an Estimator/Quotation Engineer to manage cost estimation and quotation preparation for AMC, ad-hoc, In-Unit, MEP contracting, and Fit-Out works, along with tender/portal management and pricing coordination.

The role involves site visits to verify scope, measurements, and conditions before pricing, and close collaboration with Projects Engineers, FM teams, Procurement, and Operations Management to deliver accurate, competitive quotations.

Qualifications

• Strong cost estimation/quantity surveying background in MEP, fit-out, or facilities maintenance contracting.
• Proficient in Excel and estimation/BOQ tools.
• Experience with tender portals and tender documentation (bonds, guarantees, retention).
• Excellent communication for client and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations from scope, drawings, BOQs and inspection reports.
• Site visits to verify scope, take measurements and assess conditions.
• Build costs from first principles: material, labour, plant, overheads.
• Monitor tender portals and manage pre-qualification profiles and submissions.
• Review tender docs and flag bonds, guarantees, retention requirements.
• Value engineer to improve pricing while staying compliant.
• Coordinate with Projects Engineers, FM, Procurement and Ops on pricing.
• Maintain estimation registers, files, and periodic pipeline reports.
• Ensure quotations follow internal approvals and ISO 9001 standards.

Estimator / Quotation Engineer

About the Role We're looking for an Estimator/Quotation Engineer to manage cost estimation and quotation preparation for AMC, ad-hoc, In-Unit, MEP contracting, and Fit-Out works, along with tender/portal management and pricing coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations based on scope, drawings, BOQs, and inspection reports
• Conduct site visits to verify scope, take measurements, and assess conditions before pricing
• Build costs from first principles (material, labour, plant, overheads, margin) using a rate library and current supplier pricing
• Monitor tender/enquiry portals daily, manage company pre-qualification profiles, and submit quotations before expiry
• Review tender documents and flag key requirements (bonds, guarantees, retention) to management
• Perform value engineering to improve pricing competitiveness while maintaining compliance
• Coordinate with Projects Engineers, FM teams, Procurement, and Operations Management on pricing and handover
• Maintain estimation registers, quotation files, and periodic reports (pipeline, win-loss, conversion rate)
• Ensure quotations follow internal approval processes and ISO 9001 documentation standards

Requirements

• Strong cost estimation/quantity surveying background, ideally in MEP, fit-out, or facilities maintenance contracting
• Proficiency in Excel and estimation/BOQ tools
