Job summary

ALSUWEIDI Engineering Consultants, Abu Dhabi, seeks a Recruitment Specialist to lead full-cycle hiring for engineering and corporate roles. You will partner with hiring managers to design effective recruitment strategies, post engaging roles, source passive talent, and manage candidate experience from screening to offer.

You will build robust pipelines for technical positions, conduct competency-based assessments, coordinate interviews, and ensure UAE compliance throughout onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of recruitment/talent acquisition experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or related technical industries.
• Proven success in recruiting engineering and architectural roles.
• Strong knowledge of modern assessment techniques (competency-based interviews, technical tests, reference checks).
• Proficiency in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and online sourcing tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good understanding of UAE labor laws, visa procedures, and regional hiring practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, compelling job descriptions and post vacancies across platforms (website, LinkedIn, job boards, etc.).
• Tailor outreach strategies to maximize visibility and attract qualified candidates for each role.
• Proactively source high-quality talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, online platforms, referrals, and networks.
• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for technical engineering positions.
• Conduct targeted headhunting to attract passive candidates and promote the company's employer brand.
• Review resumes and shortlist candidates based on technical, behavioral, and role-specific requirements.
• Conduct initial phone/video screenings to assess qualifications and fit.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers for in-person and virtual formats.
• Assist in evaluating candidates' technical competencies and cultural alignment.
• Ensure timely, professional communication with candidates and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate offer discussions, pre-close candidates, and negotiate within salary bands.
• Perform reference checks and oversee pre-employment requirements.
• Coordinate with HR to facilitate pre-joining processes in line with UAE regulations.
• Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain confidentiality and high-quality documentation throughout the recruitment cycle.
