Job summary

Park Hyatt Dubai seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in planning, design, execution, and delivery of maintenance and capital projects. You will drive operational excellence, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, optimize resources, and support business objectives through strong leadership and engineering solutions.

The role involves supervising technicians, coordinating with contractors, overseeing budgets, and driving energy management and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6-7 years of relevant engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management, maintenance, and asset management.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, quality standards, and risk management processes.
• Proficiency in engineering software and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, coordination, and execution of engineering, maintenance, and operations across the property.
• Supervise engineering technicians and tradespersons, ensuring safety and workmanship.
• Plan and oversee preventive/corrective maintenance and project activities.
• Assist in evaluations, cost estimates, and recommendations for improvements.
• Inspect plant rooms, equipment, and life safety systems; report findings.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance and guest-related priorities.
• Monitor HSEQ compliance and enforce safe work practices.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and service providers.
• Assist in budget control, procurement, and inventory of materials.
• Monitor energy use and sustainability programs for cost savings.
• Review logs and reports to ensure accurate documentation and control.
• Train and develop engineering staff to foster continuous improvement.
