Job summary

Banyan Tree Dubai is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair and operation of all hotel and residential building systems. This role ensures safety, health and environmental standards are met while driving efficiency and guest comfort.

You will lead engineers, plan preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and coordinate with other departments and external vendors to deliver reliable, high-quality facility operations in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire systems in hospitality.
• Public-facing role experience in upscale or lifestyle hotels preferred.
• Strong English communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair and operation of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety).
• Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are met.
• Plan preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and failures.
• Lead, train and mentor engineers and maintenance staff; schedule tasks.
• Manage annual engineering budget and energy-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with departments and external vendors; ensure guest comfort.
