Job summary

A leading MEP contracting firm in UAE is seeking an Electrical Engineer (MEP) to oversee projects from design to execution. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of UAE experience and proficiency in AutoCAD. Responsibilities include managing site operations, technical specifications, and ensuring safety standards. This role requires strong leadership capabilities and the ability to handle multiple construction sites concurrently. Candidates must currently reside in UAE and possess a valid UAE driving license.

About the Role

Our client a well-established MEP contracting firm in the UAE is seeking a Electrical Engineer (MEP) to oversee the full project lifecycle from design and planning to execution and site supervision.

The ideal candidate is already based in the UAE has completed full-cycle MEP or EPC projects and is capable of managing multiple sites consultant coordination and contractor teams. This is a client-facing role requiring technical depth leadership and operational control.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design scope and specifications for assigned MEP projects.
• Oversee project planning procurement and execution across multiple construction sites.
• Review technical drawings and ensure compliance with project timelines budgets and quality standards.
• Liaise with consultants contractors and internal teams to ensure alignment at all stages.
• Supervise the deployment of labour and site supervisors across up to 7 simultaneous projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to materials approvals and contractor performance.
• Use AutoCAD for design markups project schematics and as-built documentation.
• Monitor project costs risks and performance; raise early warnings for delays or cost overruns.
• Interpret contracts and technical clauses; support the legal and commercial team on compliance.
• Ensure health & safety standards are enforced at every site and stage of the project.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of UAE-based experience (8 years preferred) in MEP or EPC projects.
• Must have completed at least one full project cycle (minimum 2-year duration).
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (required).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and general project design tools.
• Familiarity with contract interpretation BOQs and technical clauses.
• Hands-on experience in procurement site execution and labour deployment.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent construction sites and field teams.
• Must possess a valid UAE driving license.
• PMP Certification is an advantage.
• Candidates must be currently based in the UAE with stable career history.
