Job summary

Simone's Tutoring seeks a qualified EE/SEE2/CASE tutor to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners in Essential English, SEE2, and CASE. Deliver personalised instruction, adapt to learner needs, and promote inclusive communication across Dubai and online settings.

The role offers a flexible freelance schedule with 60% commission on lessons; in-person and remote sessions are available, with MOHRE/Permits required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, Education, Linguistics, Speech & Hearing Sciences, or related field.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching EE, SEE2, CASE, or signed English systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EE, SEE2, or Conceptually Accurate Signed English.

Responsibilities

• Assess learners' signing abilities, communication goals, and language development needs.
• Deliver personalised instruction in EE, SEE2, and CASE.
• Teach signed English vocabulary, grammar, syntax, receptive skills, expressive skills, and fingerspelling.
• Support literacy development through signed English systems.
• Assist students in developing confidence communicating in educational, professional, and everyday environments.
• Adapt instruction for children, teenagers, adults, and families where appropriate.
• Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and Simone's Tutoring specialists to promote inclusive education.

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified EE / SEE2 / Conceptually Accurate Signed English Tutorto support Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners, as well as hearing individuals, in developing effective communication through Essential English (EE), Signing Exact English 2 (SEE2), and Conceptually Accurate Signed English (CASE). You will deliver personalised instruction that promotes language development, literacy, academic success, and inclusive communication while adapting lessons to each learner's communication preferences and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess learners' signing abilities, communication goals, and language development needs
• Deliver personalised instruction in EE, SEE2, and Conceptually Accurate Signed English (CASE)

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in EE, SEE2, or Conceptually Accurate Signed English

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in SEE2, CASE, or Deaf Education
• Experience working with Deaf or hard-of-hearing learners
• Experience supporting literacy development using signed English systems
• Knowledge of inclusive education practices and communication accessibility

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.
