Job summary

Simone's Tutoring in Dubai seeks an experienced EAL/ESL tutor to help learners grow confidence and fluency across international curricula. Deliver personalized lessons online, at students' homes, or schools, with a flexible freelance schedule and commission-based pay.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in English or related field, MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility, and 2+ years of EAL/ESL teaching. CELTA/TEFL preferred; experience with diverse backgrounds is a plus.

• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching EAL, ESL, or ELL.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced EAL / ESL Tutorto help children, teenagers, and adults develop confidence and fluency in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or English as a Second Language (ESL). You will deliver engaging, personalised lessons that strengthen speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday communication skills while supporting learners across international school curricula, workplace environments, and daily life.

Key Responsibilities

Assess learners' English proficiency, learning goals, and communication needs

Deliver personalised EAL/ESL lessons tailored to individual learning styles

Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English

Support learners with school English, academic English, workplace English, and everyday communication

Develop students' confidence through interactive, communicative teaching approaches

Prepare learners for classroom participation and integration into English-speaking environments

Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents

Collaborate with Simone's Tutoring specialists to support students' overall academic development

Minimum Qualifications

MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

Minimum 2 years' experience teaching EAL, ESL, or English Language Learners (ELL)

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching British, American, IB, CBSE, or UAE curricula

Experience supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds

Experience teaching both children and adults

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

Own UAE Employment Visa

Green Visa

Freelance Permit

Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility

Any other valid UAE work authorisation
