Job summary

Simone's Tutoring in Dubai is seeking an experienced Learning Support Specialist to design and deliver personalised learning support plans for students with diverse needs. You will assess profiles, plan interventions, and collaborate with families and schools across Dubai.

This freelance/contract role offers flexibility to work from home or at students' homes or schools, with 65% commission on session payments and opportunities to build a meaningful private practice in a supportive team.

Qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Specialist to provide targeted academic support for students with learning difficulties and diverse learning needs. You will design and deliver personalised learning support plans in close collaboration with families and schools across Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students' learning profiles, strengths, and areas of difficulty
• Design and implement personalised learning support programmes
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and parents
• Adapt curriculum materials and resources to meet individual needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Provide parents with guidance on supporting learning at home

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 2 years learning support experience
• Knowledge of differentiation, scaffolding, and SEN strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• SEN or SEND qualification
• Experience with ADHD, dyslexia, or processing difficulties
• Experience with IB, IGCSE, or UAE MOE curriculum

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:

• Own UAE Employment Visa
• Green Visa
• Freelance Permit
• Dependent Visa with legal work eligibility
• Any other valid UAE work authorisation
